THIS BLOG is to record my attempts to get back in shape -- and to reflect on what I learned from my training last year. I'm making it public just for those who want to know how one octagenarian grapples with aging.
I BEGAN IT LAST YEAR to keep track of my training for an 80-mile ride on my 80th birthday, September 28. That ride behind me, I stopped riding. By March, I was thoroughly out of shape. Will I regain the vitality I had last September. Come along and see!

Two miles on foot, then sedentary
Early this morning, out for groceries and back, and my legs were tired!
Sat around until mid-afternoon -- then drive downtown with Anne to her eye doctor... three hours round trip. Very tired at the end!
